Anil Kapoor is unequivocally indicating no marks of reducing down! At an experience when actors root out it challenging to identify significant roles, Anil is taking both the East and West by storm. Notwithstanding he is surely getting straight to the point regarding it.

Having finished shooting for Mission Impossible 4 with Tom Cruise, he seems to be ready to take Hollywood by storm. Well this is definitely not his first encounter with H-town having starred previously in Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire and the series 24. And if you thought that he is all set to mould himself into their cast, you thought wrong. Anil, whose No Problem released this Friday, stated on Encounter with Omar that he would love Tom Cruise to make that movie.

And he seems all out to make them do movies Bollywood ishtyle. “I am going to corrupt them and make them dance to Bollywood numbers.
Tom Cruise ke saath toh main karunga 100%. I’ll see to it that very soon Hollywood actors will be dancing with Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif,” he said cheekily adding that it will be them who will be influenced by him and not vice versa. When asked the pretty obvious question as to how the experience of working with Cruise was, he remarked that they should ask Tom about his working experiences with him instead. Well Tom Cruise already has expressed his gratitude on Twitter - with the use of a Google translator! - by tweeting. Well it seems that what Yash Raj failed to do 15 years ago with Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Anil Kapoor may well pull it off with his camaraderie. No Problem, right Anil?

Freida Pinto was surprised with slums People

“Slumdog Millionaire” star Freida Pinto was surprised when nobody recognised her in a Mumbai slum recently.

“People in the city recognise me as the girl from ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ and inevitably they stare. But when I visited the slums with an NGO, nobody recognised me at all. I didn’t mind,” femalefirst.co.uk quoted Pinto as saying.

The 26-year-old star shot to fame after the Oscar winning movie and since then has featured on cover pages of a lot of fashion magazines and has bagged a few Hollywood projects as well

Salman have collision with Katrina again

Salman’s Ready seems to be on a collision course with Katrina Kaif’s Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara at the box office and the impending tussle has got industry tongues wagging as no one had expected the “once in love” couple to be fighting it out commercially.

Says an industry observer, “One knew that Ready was well on its way towards completion but there were no hints about its release plans. On the other hand, the release of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara was announced weeks ago and it was always going to be May 27. However, with Salman releasing Ready on the same date, it will be nothing short of a major clash.”

While Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is touted to be a fun, youthful film with a cast comprising Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Abhay Deol, Katrina Kaif and Kalki Koechlin, Ready is a family entertainer with Asin as Salman’s co-star.

“Thankfully the films seem to be targeting different audience bases, otherwise it would have been a calamity,” says another insider, “Knowing the sensibility of Zoya Akhtar and Farhan Akhtar, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is expected to be more urban centric and would be targeting the multiplexes. On the other hand, Ready brings director Anees Bazmee and Salman together again after No Entry and they would be looking at the masses for bringing in the moolah.”

One also wonders whether there are more issues here other than Salman and Katrina. Hrithik is of course not very happy about Salman’s recent taunt that “not even a dog went to see Guzaarish”, and he has not hidden his feeling about it. So the battle might just be between Salman and Hrithik instead of Salman and Katrina. After the debacles of Kites and Guzaarish, Hrithik must have been looking forward to a solo release but unfortunately he is now up against Salman Dabangg Khan and punters would definitely put their money on the mighty Khan. One would have expected the makers to comment on the issue but neither Anees Bazmee nor Zoya Akhtar were available for comments.
